Swiped

Ah-ma never allowed me to bring my pacifier to school, but last Wednesday, I managed to swipe the pacifier from the table and stuffed into my mouth before leavinig for school. Surprisingly Ah-ma didn't notice the pacifier in my mouth. Probably cos I could still manage a conversation with her with the pacifier in my mouth all the way from home to school. Boy, you should see her face when she saw the pacifier in my mouth when we reached school! She was horrified! She quickly took the pacifier from my mouth and stuffed into her pocket. :/
I sleptover last night at Gu-gu's place. Was supposed to be staying over at ah-ma's place cos daddy had to work till late into the wee hours. But I wanted to go over to gu-gu's place with kor-kors. So when daddy called up, i told him i wanted to go over to kor-kor's house and approval was sort of given. :)
Mummy went for a check-up and my little brother is now 1.56kg at 29weeks. And mummy finally put on 5kg! Hurray! All the bread she's been stuffing herself with worked! Lil bro has also turned his head down. Mummy's keeping fingers crossed he'll stay down, unlike me who was still going 360degrees until like 36weeks! Mummy's doc is strongly encouraging her to go natural this time, so we're all gonna play the waiting game and let lil bro decide when he wants to come out. She will only go for c-section if conditions in the womb are not suitable (eg. reduced amnio fluid, aging placenta) and we need to get lil bro out and he's still not low down yet. Can't induce this time round cos of the risk of the previous c-sect wound rupture. Mummy's hoping to go natural this time round to help save $$ cos eh...i made her spend a bomb the last time :P S$3k in cash to be exact.
Jia you lil bro!

Kor-kor Xavier's Bird Day

It was kor-kor Xavier's bird day yesterday and we were in charge of getting the cake cos mummy has a 50% discount voucher for Chocz cakes. So after waking up at 930am, we rushed to prepare and headed off to United Square to get the cake. Unfortunately they only had the 700g size for the Black Forest cake which Xavier wanted. So gu-gu said jus settle for that lah. By the way, the cake was so-so only and the salesperson was a wood block. Not say bad service, but she only gives you what you want. You need anything else, gotta ask. She doesn't promote. Oh ya, not smiling readily too.

As we still had time, I was allowed to wander round United Square, trying the rides. Mummy wanted to buy me a pair of Nike shoes but sigh..my big fat feet again! No size! So...too bad...

Had the celebration at gu-gu's place with delivery from Mac's and Canadian Pizza. I enjoyed myself going up and down the stairs at gu-gu's house. Oh yes, and there's Bebe, the dog that I've long forgotten. She's gotten so old that all she does is sleep in the corner...

Oh the last pic is baby Pearlyn. She jus turned 6 months old too!

To buy me new slippers

Ok, first pic of me was taken when I jus woke up from bed. Daddy was trying out the camera feature of his new phone - Sony Ericsson K950i with a 5megapixel camera. Not bad...and this phone supports the usual SD card instead of the Sony Memory stick. After taking this pic, Daddy was off to work and left Mummy and me at home. I'm a good gal and always gave mummy an easy time when Daddy is out. :)
After Aunty was done cleaning up the house, we set off to buy me new slippers. My fat feet are spilling out of my current ones. Sadly, they have rather limited designs (in fact only one) for my size. So we had to settle with the purple Havaianas Kids Pet series. Since daddy has been grumbling that i'm always asking him to carry me when shopping, this time round I wanted to walk and run on my own. Guess wat...Daddy disallowed AGAIN! And he wanted to carry me instead. Men! And they say we women are fickle minded..

After buying my slippers, we dropped by this great shop - the Selfix DIY. I call it great becos they have a mini playground for kids like me to hang around while the adults shop for their stuff. Mummy was busy deciding which fridge-to-go to get. Becos the playground was away from the fridge-to-go display, Mummy was busy shuttling to and fro between the playground and the display and lugging many sample pieces with her to consult Daddy on which model to buy. Eventually she settled with one that can hold 3x260ml Avent bottles and can keep cool for up to 8hours with removable freezing panels.
We stopped by Mothercare too where daddy showed me the pink booster seat but unfortunately I was not attracted by it. Well, I was too excited roaming the shop to check out the strollers, toys etc. So daddy and mummy decided, today is not the day to show me booster seats. Other day perhaps...

Dr. Biscuit

Was brought to the doc's last Monday for my final jab from the package - Hepatitis A. I recognised the place when we arrived and immediately told daddy, 'I want biscuit.' cos the doctor always gives me a biscuit when I see him. True enough, he offered me a biscuit!

Mummy took the chance to consult the doctor on my refusal to eat rice. The doctor was on my side. :) He said not to force, only offer when we are eating. If I really don't wanna eat, its ok. Just when I'm starting to develop a liking for this Doc, he brings out a syring with needle! I whimpered abit and clung tightly onto Daddy, bracing myself for the sting. I was brave. Not a single sound came out of me when the Doc jabbed me on my buttock.

But I was in a daze when we left the Doc's room. The pain was kind of getting to me. But brave me again, no tears, no sound. Jus distract myself with the biscuit. :)

Oh yes, I'm now 12.2kg (finally! Cross the 12kg mark!) and 90cm tall. Mummy said time to switch to a booster seat in the car soon!

CNY in School

Here's a belated pic of my classmate and myself during the CNY celebration in school. The clothes you see on me? That's from the school. Mummy's surprised that the teachers managed to convince me to wear the CNY clothes. Oh well, peer pressure!

It's My Choice

I'm a big girl now and I make my own choices when it comes to clothes. I dislike wearing dresses and skirts. In fact, on Saturday, I was forced into a dress when visiting Aunty Carol's place. But after that, on route to Aunty Sam's place, I protested strongly and mummy had to give in. So I went to Aunty Sam's place in my pyjamas top and a panty. How trendy.

On Sunday, Mummy tried once again to offer me a dress. I told her NO. So she allowed me to pick my own clothes from the drawer and I picked this top (see pic above). As for the bottom, she tried by displaying ALL the skirts I own, but I rejected all of them and she had no choice but to offer me a pants bottom. :) I agreed with that.

So mummy decided, she will have to bring me along when shopping for my clothes in future.

CNY

Been a loooong time since my last post cos mummy has been unwell again and this time for a stretch of 4 weeks from 1st Jan till CNY! Poor mummy...this little bro of mine is really making things difficult for mummy.

I enjoyed myself very much this CNY, cos I got to eat lots of goodies! Amongst my favorites are the bak kwa, wang wang biscuits and sweets!! However, no pictures were taken of me in my CNY clothes cos firstly, i refused to wear the cheena dress that daddy bot for me from Bangkok. Then with mummy being unwell, everything was a mess. They kept forgetting to bring oranges and kept having to used the 2 oranges that were displayed in the car. Tsk tsk...so all the oranges that they bought and kept in the fridge remain untouched till today.

We didn't visit many houses this CNY, but it was enough to tire me out. We only went ah-ma's place, ah-zor's place, por-por's place and ah-tai's place. This Saturday we'll be visiting Aunty Carol's place and yi-ma's place.

This picture was taken on 'ren ri', ie 7th day of the lunar new year whereby we 'lo hei' and have steamboat. I lurve to do the lo hei part.
