Duncan 5mos

Duncan turns 5mos old if you are counting by the date of his birth. But going by the number of weeks, he is already 5.5mos old. He has just started babbling 'Ahh'... 'bah bah bah'...'mum mum mum'. He goes 'mum mum' when he wants his milk and it's not ready on time. He sure can grumble pretty loudly when he's angry! Don't be deceived by his innocent smiley look. He is pretty bad-tempered when he doesn't get his milk on time or when he's grouchy from lack of sleep.

I'm on leave the past week and the next week to come cos Daddy is in Spain. Looking after Duncan at home while Megan is staying over at grandma's. Megan has been calling up almost everyday looking for her Daddy and when she can't get him, she simply doesnt' wanna talk to me :S Here's one conversation with her last week:

Megan: Where's Daddy?

Me: Daddy's working.

Megan: Where's Duncan?

Me: Drinking milk. Wat's Megan doing?

Megan: Talking to Mummy.

Me: Have you taken your rice?

Megan: Yes. Oh no no no! I eat mee swa. OK bye mummy!

Me: Wait...I wanna talk to you!

Megan: Bye mummy!

Me: Wait lah...

Megan: I said BYE MUMMY!

Me: OK, bye.

Megan: Bye Duncan!

Me: Bye!

Megan: Duncan cannot say bye lah.

Me: *Roll eyes* ok, bye Megan...

Mid-Autumn Festival

We went to Bishan park to celebrate the mid-autumn festival last Saturday. Initially Meg was carrying a lighted lantern but when she saw how Xavier's lantern got consumed by the flames, she froze and immediately requested for an unlighted lantern. And we thought she is a daredevil. Tsk tsk.. When we were walking along the park, I even heard her telling the helper Aunty Nat to be careful of the lantern she was carrying as it might burst into flames.

The last picture above was not a 'caught on camera' picture. Meg was posing for the camera. Such a weird pose though...armpit itchy ah? *chuckles*

In case you are wondering why there are no pics of Duncan...he was fast asleep in the stroller already. :)

Accommodating

Meg's really accommodating when it comes to photo-taking. Above are pics of her taken with the hair-dryer blowing at her to give the effect.

Flip, Flop, Pengz

Duncan suddenly decided that flipping is fun. He must have been secretly practicing at night cos although he could flip earlier, he wasn't too keen about it till last Sunday he started flipping and flipping. And I'm busy 'penging' satay every night (ie flipping him back). I dun understand why he likes to flip, then when he's tummy down he will start fussing and whining to get you to flip him back! Well, if you don't like to be tummy down, why bother flipping over and over! Argh!

Recovering from cough

Duncan had his very first cough/flu with compliments from Megan. This is his 4th day and he's slowly recovering. It's not affecting him much, just coughing occasionally. I think it's affecting me more! He's on medication and comparing to the war we have to wage against Meg when feeding her meds, Duncan is so much easier. At this age, that is. We tried him on the bumbo this morning and he was elated to be sitting upright.

Check out the time of the photo, it's 8.47am. He's already bathed and changed, which means piggy me woke up at 8am. Waking up at 8am on weekends is a rare occasion for me previously, as Megan also sleeps in till about at least 9am. Now it seems that Duncan is an early bird like his daddy. He wakes up at 7plus every morning to poo or simply to chit-chat. I wouldn't mind if he whispers but no no, this little one shouts at the top of his lungs! I had to wake up to entertain him...*groanz*

Punggol Dairy Farm

Just gotta blog this for record..There's no more room for ice cubes, ice cream and frozen food.
